Auckland FC celebrates debut year with record of sounds of the season
Auckland FC sponsor ANZ has produced a vinyl record capturing some of the highlights from the team’s first season in sound form
ANZ bank and TBWA\New Zealand have come up with an innovative way of celebrating the debut season of Auckland FC, by releasing a vinyl record that features the sounds of eight special moments from the team’s inaugural year.
Record Season was pressed locally in Auckland by Holiday Records in a limited edition of 150 copies which were given to “players, superfans and community champions”, including the main fan group The Port, says the agency.

Auckland FC is New Zealand’s newest professional football club and the record is the latest in a series of campaigns from ANZ and TBWA\NZ that have aimed to take brand partnerships beyond traditional shirt sponsorship. (For the Day One campaign, which ran before the team’s debut match, ANZ organised a scavenger hunt-style jersey drop and gave away 200 shirts.)
The vinyl record features eight tracks including ‘Auckland Till We Die’, which celebrates the 27,000 fans who contributed to the team’s largest ever crowd and ‘Six Straight’ which marks Auckland’s victorious run of six games at the start of the season, alongside a recording of the team chant and even a speech from coach Steve Corica.

“From Day One shirts to Record Season, we’ve treated this sponsorship like a creative platform, not a logo placement,” says TBWA\NZ CCO Shane Bradnick.
“Record Season is more than a piece of vinyl, it’s a thank-you note to Auckland, crafted in a way that only a culturally driven brand could do. We wanted to create something that felt genuinely special: a lasting, physical tribute to an unforgettable debut year.”
The tracks have been uploaded to Spotify, while the extended campaign also features a city-wide billboard campaign and posters based around a thank-you message to the fans from ANZ.
