Dating app Feeld goes analogue with new print magazine
Created in collaboration with Blok Design, AFM (A Fucking Magazine) aims to help foster physical connections among Feeld’s diverse community
As a dating app designed with ‘the curious’ in mind, creativity has been a key part of Feeld’s story from the outset. The brand was founded in 2014 by London-based graphic designers Dimo Trifonov and Ana Kirova, who remains the company’s CEO.
Following on from its rebrand by Made Thought last year, the app is marking its tenth anniversary with a new print publication, AFM: A Fucking Magazine, interchangeably known as A Feeld Magazine.

The decision to invest in print reflects the brand’s broader mission of fostering meaningful connections, both with others and oneself. With reading remaining one of the top interests expressed by users on the app, AFM’s message is simple: read a fucking magazine.
The publication’s double-meaning name was one of the first things to emerge during the creative process. “When we first started working together, I made the joke that we should call it A Fucking Magazine,” says Haley Mlotek, co-editor and editorial lead at Feeld.

“But the more we discussed it, the more we realised that it was the perfect name to express the fierceness of our intentions with this publication. We believe in printed matter, and we know that this is the perfect medium for collaborating with our members.”
Designed by Toronto-based studio Blok Design, the magazine has been imagined as a physical object of desire, while the masthead and wordmark draw inspiration from 1980s French arts magazine FMR and 1960s arts journal/zine Fuck You: A Magazine.

Inside its pages, the title brings together a diverse community of voices with a split of Feeld and non-Feeld members. Contributions from literary and creative minds like cover star Juliana Huxtable, James Ivory and Daphne Merkin explore everything from the beauty of self-expression to the pursuit of happiness in all its forms.
“AFM is not just a magazine; it’s the latest expression of Feeld’s voice in the cultural conversation around relationships, sexuality, and desire. Turning the pages of a magazine should be a sensual experience that invites an encounter with something unknown — whether in relation to oneself or others,” says Maria Dimitrova, co-editor and director of content at Feeld.
The magazine’s launch will include several events across New York City and London and a travelling custom-designed mobile newsstand selling the inaugural edition, which is inspired by NYC’s street-side tradition.
